Sometimes (a lot of times) when we work with couples for so long, they start to feel like family :) Samantha first reached out to us in June of 2016 and looking back, that seems like forever ago! Over the last 15 months or so, we've met with them for their consultation, two engagement sessions (we had to do updated family pictures when they added a puppy to their family last Christmas), a bridal session and finally the wedding day! By this point we were just as excited as they were to see their vision come together. The venue (The Farm at Brusharbor in Mount Pleasant, NC) has always been a favorite :) There are two ceremony sites to choose from, and since it was the middle of summer, they chose the covered site. Having shot there before, we knew the potential for heavy silhouetting of the couple standing right inside from the sun, so John set up a lighting scenario that gave such beautiful soft light across the wedding party, but softly faded out the crowd... I love the final result! The flowers from Chelish Moore complimented everything perfectly, and of course the twinkle lights that fill the barn made the reception area look amazing. To top it off, we were able to sneak back out during the reception and catch a gorgeous sunset over the water. It was pretty perfect! Thank you Brian and Samantha for trusting your day to us, we were honored to be there and hope you'll cherish these images for many many years!
